Meeting Birth: Prenatal Yoga & Childbirth Preparation Series

This six-week prenatal series offers a different kind of childbirth preparation—one that goes beyond simply learning what will happen and instead helps you explore how you will meet it.

Birth is not just a physical event. It is a full-body, full-being experience—one that asks for awareness, adaptability, and trust. In this course, we prepare for that experience through a combination of movement, discussion, practical education, and creative exploration.

Each week, we’ll gather for two hours to build understanding, practice supportive movement (including prenatal yoga), and explore the emotional and mental aspects of labor, birth, and early parenthood.

Rather than focusing on a single “right way” to give birth, this course creates space for you to:

  • understand the physiology of labor and your options within it

  • develop tools for working with intensity, discomfort, and the unexpected

  • connect with your breath, body, and internal cues

  • explore your thoughts, expectations, and emotions around birth

  • prepare not just for labor, but for the transition into parenthood

You will be guided through a variety of experiences including gentle yoga practices, breathwork, visualization, discussion, hands-on techniques, and creative activities designed to help you process and integrate what you’re learning.

This is not an outcome-focused class.
Your preferences, questions, and decisions will be respected and supported.

My role is not to tell you how your birth should look—but to help you build the awareness, confidence, and flexibility to navigate it in your own way.

Class size is intentionally small to allow for individual attention, meaningful discussion, and a supportive group environment.

What We’ll Explore

While each group takes on its own shape, topics may include:

  • The physiology and phases of labor

  • Breath and movement as tools for comfort and support

  • Positioning and working with your body during labor

  • Pain coping strategies and mindset

  • Induction, interventions, and epidurals

  • Feeding your baby and early bonding

  • Postpartum recovery and emotional adjustment

Each session also includes experiential elements such as guided reflection, creative exercises, partner work, and practical skill-building.

Who This Is For

This course is for those who want more than just information.

It’s for you if you:

  • want to feel more prepared, not just informed

  • are open to exploring both the physical and emotional aspects of birth

  • appreciate a small-group, supportive environment

  • want tools you can actually use during labor and beyond

No prior yoga experience is needed.
