Rooted in Earth: Yoga, Regeneration & Reconnecting with Nature
SAT MAY 2, 10 - 11:30 AM EDT (SAT MAY 2, 10 - 11:30 AM EDT)

When: May 2, 10-11:30am

Investment: $40 (non-members), $35 (members)

What if caring for the earth wasn’t separate from caring for ourselves?

In this collaborative workshop, we’ll explore the idea of regeneration — not just as a way of gardening, but as a way of relating to the world around us. Through a blend of conversation, movement, and hands-on experience, you’ll be introduced to simple, meaningful ways to support the health of the soil, local ecosystems, and your own well-being.

Guided by regenerative gardening educator J’aime Hill, you’ll begin to understand how working with nature — through practices like supporting soil health and planting with intention — can create lasting impact, even in small spaces. As this understanding unfolds, we’ll move into a short, grounding yoga practice and meditation themed in our own connection to the elements through the yoga lens and designed to help you feel that union more directly in your own body.

You will notice how awareness shifts when you slow down, use your hands, and reconnect with the natural world in a more direct way.

We’ll close with a simple, hands-on experience working with soil and plants, giving you the opportunity to engage with the earth in a tangible way and take something home as a continuation of the practice.

You’ll leave with:
• a clearer understanding of regenerative gardening and why it matters
• simple ways to begin supporting soil health and local ecosystems
• a felt sense of connection through breath, movement, and touch
• a small, planted container to take home and continue nurturing

Who is this for?
• anyone curious about regenerative gardening or sustainable living
• those who enjoy learning through experience, not just information
• yoga students interested in connecting practice to the natural world
• anyone seeking a deeper sense of connection — to the earth and to themselves

No prior gardening or yoga experience is needed.

Guides:

J’aime Hill is a wellness enthusiast and educator, and a certified Soil Advocate. Her current focus is on regenerative gardening as a way to connect one’s own personal healing with improving our planet’s ecosystems. As a former vegetarian, her journey through nutrition led her to studying the food system and its flaws, and further recognized the importance of soil health in all aspects of our lives. Her own hobby gardening turned into a passion project to regenerate her own yard, as she realized that the solution to most of humanity’s problems is to simply reconnect with Mother Earth. Her mission is to help people remember our divine relationship to our shared home, so that we can each start to do a little more to give back to the planet that supports everything we do!

J’aime is the creator of Well In A HandBasket, LLC - a gardening and wellness education brand. She lives in White Lake with her chihuahua, mouse, and her life partner, and she is expecting their first child this summer!
